Nicolo Bulega is certain to leave Federal Oil next season, and switch to the WorldSSP team, Aruba.it Ducati. This recruitment is part of Ducati’s return to the mid-range racing series.
Having played more than 300 races in the Supersport class, Ducati has not featured there since 2007. It was only in 2022 that Ducati sent Aruba.it to return to the WorldSSP event .
It is not known whether Bulega will be Aruba.it’s sole driver next season. However, so far the Ducati team has not confirmed who the next racer they will recruit.
Bulega himself ended his racing career in the MotoGP class for seven seasons, namely in Moto3 and Moto2. Of the 96 races, he was only able to set foot on the podium twice, namely in the Moto3 2016 series Jerez (P2) and the Japanese GP (P3).
His slick appearance with Sky VR46 that season, made Bulega’s name predicted to be one of Italy’s future drivers. Unfortunately, the development of the rider was not as expected.
Fighting in Moto2 this season alone, Bulega is quite difficult. How could I not, until the 14th race series, he still could not occupy the top 10 positions. The best place is only at P11.
This result made Nicolo Bulega only able to rank 26th in the 2021 Moto2 standings. The Federal Oil racer is known to still have 12 points.
