In recent months several car manufacturers have introduced electric vehicles in Indonesia. Not long ago, Nissan Motor Distribution Indonesia (NMDI) launched the Nissan LEAF, following the Hyundai Ioniq, which was first present.

The presence of the two cars provoked other Japanese automotive manufacturers to fill the same segment. Based on information on Industrial Design from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham), Honda Motor Co., Ltd has submitted an application with number A00201901438.

The registered vehicle is strongly suspected to be a Honda e, a battery electric car (BEV). The city car has already been paved in Japan and Europe since last year.

Honda e . display

Although the rear is not visible, the form of the registered Honda e is minimally different from units that have been sold in Japan and Europe. Its retro futuristic look is still visible with the old school but modern design language .

Other things include a black roof, round headlights that blend into the black grille , black ornamentation on the hood where the charging port is located, and five-spoke rims.

The last part is quite interesting because the Honda e is sold to the public using two tone 10-spoke rims with a minimalist design. While the Honda e registered in Indonesia uses a simpler rim design.

Honda e . features and performance

When referring to the Honda e which has been sold in the UK, the car is embedded with the latest comfort and safety features. These include a large screen from the driver’s side to the passenger’s side, the use of a camera system for the outside mirrors, Honda Sensing, a panoramic roof , and a one-pedal driving system .

The hatchback’s electric motor churns out 154 PS of power and 315 Nm of torque. Honda claims acceleration 0-100 km / h in just 8.3 seconds. The built-in 35.5 kWh lithium-ion battery can cover 220 km on a single full charge.

The Honda e starts at £28,215 or IDR 544.4 million (at an exchange rate of £1 = IDR 19,650) for the standard type, while the Advance type sells for £30,715 or IDR 604 million.
